Dubai Airport (DXB) has introduced an AI-driven corridor, enabling travelers to swiftly pass through immigration checks in mere seconds.

This innovative service allows up to 10 individuals to move simultaneously without pausing or showing ID, reports local newspaper Alkhaleej.

The AI corridor not only accelerates procedures but also doubles airport capacity by processing multiple passengers at once. Additionally, AI aids in identifying violations by flagging suspicious passports for forgery experts, stated Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai.

DXB has retained its status as the world’s busiest airport for international passenger traffic in 2024, according to Airports Council International (ACI) World.

Previously, Khaleej Times reported that Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) will also feature a smart corridor capable of processing up to 10 travelers simultaneously, similar to DXB’s system.

Even baggage handling will be automated, with robots transferring luggage from cars to the check-in desk.

Travelers have the option to arrive at DWC on eVTOL aircraft on their departure day.
