According to case records, the investigation commenced when Dubai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Department received credible information about A.M.G. selling crystal meth to drug users for money, while also using drugs himself.

Surveillance revealed he frequently visited the Abu Hail area, prompting police to organize a sting operation. He was apprehended in Abu Hail with nine packets of crystal meth.

A subsequent search of his residence uncovered a shoebox with more heroin, hashish, and crystal meth, along with tools like a precision scale and scalpel used for drug distribution.

During interrogation, A.M.G. confessed to distributing drugs by placing them at various locations, photographing the spots, and sending the coordinates to an accomplice in an Asian country.

He earned Dh30 for each drop-off point. A forensic report confirmed his drug use and identified the seized substances as heroin, hashish, and crystal meth.

Based on this evidence, the court found him guilty, sentencing him to life imprisonment. The Court of Appeal later confirmed this ruling.
