Dubai Teen’s Sudden Passing Leaves Legacy

During a Diwali celebration, an 18-year-old boy’s sudden death left his family and friends mourning. Dubbed “extraordinary” by his uncle Nitish, who resides in Dubai, Vaishnav Krishnakumar was revered for excelling in every endeavor.

“He was a top student,” Nitish shared with Khaleej Times. “He led the student council and actively participated in extracurriculars. Truly, he was an exceptional and brilliant student.”

Vaishnav, originally from Kerala, India, collapsed and passed away during the celebration. His parents have lived in the UAE for over two decades.

“We’re unclear on the exact events leading to his death,” Nitish stated. “His parents wish to repatriate his body to Kerala for burial, and we’re working on the necessary documentation. We hope to complete this by Friday.”

A recent BBA graduate from Middlesex University, Vaishnav had previously attended GEMS Our Own Indian School and received a Golden Visa for his academic achievements.

‘Role model’ to many

Nitish recalled Vaishnav’s popularity and influence as a role model to peers. “Since his passing, many parents of his friends have called us in tears,” he mentioned. “Everyone adored him; he was admired by many. Parents often encouraged their children to emulate him.”

The family is heartbroken. “He was their guiding light for 18 years,” Nitish said. “He was a beacon of hope. Vaishnav had a younger sister, aged eight, to whom he was very close despite their age difference. She is inconsolable.”

Nitish added that Vaishnav was self-sufficient and considerate. “When he wanted a new phone and laptop, he didn’t wish to burden his parents,” he explained. “He took on a part-time job to earn the money for his university gadgets. He was the son every parent wished for.”
