A locally crafted specialty coffee brand has achieved a Guinness World Record for the priciest cup of coffee globally, with a price tag of Dh2,500. Roasters, renowned for its high-quality beans and expert brewing, unveiled this luxurious coffee last week at its main outlet in Downtown Dubai.

This record-setting cup boasts a meticulously hand-poured V60 brew, crafted with the exceedingly rare Panama Esmeralda Geisha coffee beans, prized for their floral fragrances and complex tropical fruit flavors. The coffee experience is complemented by Geisha bean-infused treats, including a refined tiramisu, chocolate ice cream, and a unique chocolate piece designed to highlight the exclusivity of the experience.

The company describes this creation as a multi-sensory celebration of rare beans, expert craftsmanship, and precise service, which justifies its premium price.

Customers can partake in an exclusive table-side ceremony when ordering this coffee. A dedicated barista will prepare the coffee live, using a temperature-controlled pour-over kettle, V60 dripper, precision scale, and freshly ground Geisha beans. The coffee is served in a handcrafted Edo Kiriko crystal glass, a Japanese heritage item known for its detailed patterns and tactile elegance. Flavor note cards accompany the service, guiding patrons through the aromas, textures, and flavors.

“Every cup tells a story,” said Konstantin Harbuz, co-founder and CEO at Roasters. “This acknowledgment honors our team’s commitment and underscores Dubai’s emerging status as a hub for extraordinary coffee experiences.”

A recent DMCC Future of Trade report highlighted that over two billion cups of coffee are consumed daily, but challenges like climate change, changing consumer tastes, and new value chain dynamics are reshaping the global coffee landscape.
