On Saturday, Dublin Airport announced the reopening of Terminal 2 after a temporary closure due to a security alert.

“Dublin Airport confirms Terminal 2 is now cleared. Passengers will soon re-enter, and flights are anticipated to resume within 30 minutes,” the airport stated on X.

Police confirmed they responded to an incident at the airport but did not provide additional details.

The airport also reported minor disruptions from a Europe-wide software issue. A cyberattack on Collins Aerospace, responsible for check-in and boarding systems, affected operations at several major European airports, including Heathrow, Brussels, and Berlin.

This led to delays across multiple airlines, notably affecting the check-in process for UAE-based Etihad Airways.
