During the session on the third day of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, held under the title ‘The UN Development Agenda Beyond 2030’, Kobyakov stated: ‘The number of people suffering from malnutrition worldwide is expected to decrease in the future, but according to our forecasts, this number will remain around 512 million people in 2030, 60% of whom will live in Africa.’ The UN 2030 Agenda, known as the ‘2030 Sustainable Development Plan’, is a global action plan adopted by all UN member states in 2015, comprising 17 sustainable development goals. The agenda aims to end poverty in all its forms, protect the planet, and ensure all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. It is an integrated and interconnected plan balancing the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development and requires strong global partnerships for its implementation.
