This was stated in a release published on the official page of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the “X” platform, today, Sunday. It mentioned that Abdel Aty’s statements were made during his meeting with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa. Abdel Aty emphasized the provision of necessary support to the Palestinian side to restore order in the sector by training Palestinian police personnel to fill the security void there.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister also stressed the urgent need to continue garnering international support to implement the Arab plan for the reconstruction of the sector, including the requirements for early recovery. He expressed Egypt’s categorical rejection of the policy of starvation and siege pursued by the Israeli side in the Gaza Strip.
Badr Abdel Aty also condemned Egypt’s stance against “settlement policies and systematic assaults in the occupied Palestinian territories.” From October 7, 2023, to August 17, 2025, these actions caused the death of about 62,000 Palestinians and approximately 156,000 injuries, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
