Dubai’s government announced that by 2032, all operations of Dubai International Airport will move to Al Maktoum International Airport, poised to become the world’s largest international airport, serving over 260 million passengers annually.
In the first half of 2025-26, Emirates launched new routes to Danang, Siem Reap, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou. By September 30, Emirates’ network covered 153 airports in 81 countries.
The airline enhanced connectivity with 28 additional weekly flights to Antananarivo, Johannesburg, Muscat, Rome, Riyadh, and Taipei.
Kazim stated that Emirates aims to reach 400 destinations in line with the D33 agenda, establishing Dubai as a global aviation hub.
He emphasized the goal of connecting “people from one end to another with just one stop.”
“With the arrival of new aircraft, onboard products will be exceptional. We’re aiming for over 300 aircraft before DWC opens, targeting more than 200 destinations. Post-DWC, the horizon opens with about 400 aircraft gates,” he remarked during the panel.
Kazim highlighted that new aircraft from Emirates and flydubai will provide travelers with diverse options when visiting Dubai.
He praised Dubai’s conducive environment for airline growth, noting, “Dubai’s early reopening in 2020 drove significant traffic, showcasing Dubai’s quality beyond just ads. The leadership deserves credit,” he said, adding Emirates continues to elevate standards.
