Al Hajri stated that this initiative serves as a continuous charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) for himself and his late parents. The funds will be allocated to various charitable initiatives under Awqaf Dubai, ensuring a lasting philanthropic legacy for future generations.

He emphasized that this contribution perpetuates the legacy of generosity and benevolence initiated by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and continued by the UAE’s leadership, underscoring the deep-rooted values of generosity, solidarity, and social responsibility in Emirati culture.

Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of Awqaf Dubai, remarked that the endowment embodies the spirit of generosity inherent in the UAE community, further establishing Dubai as a leading center for sustainable charitable activities.

He added, “We deeply appreciate this noble initiative, which will support humanitarian, educational, healthcare, and service projects, benefiting the broader community.”

Al Mutawa also mentioned that the Foundation continues to grow and expand endowments in alignment with the leadership’s vision of using Waqf as a tool for sustainable community development, inspiring both individuals and institutions to engage more in charitable work.

Currently, Awqaf Dubai manages endowment assets valued at Dh11.1 billion across 1,043 Waqfs from 578 donors, with increasing participation from citizens and residents, reflecting strong community cohesion and a spirit of humanitarian responsibility.
