Saliba explained in an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio that ‘ending Zelensky’s role could be achieved through elections with the imposition of the American will on the Europeans and the ruling junta in Ukraine, provided that the elections do not include the four regions, which implies a tacit acknowledgment of the status quo. The second option is to continue the Russian military operation to reclaim what has historically been taken from Russia and poorly managed by the rulers.’
The researcher on international affairs and Russian matters viewed that what is happening represents ‘the last opportunity for Europeans to achieve any economic, political, moral, or geopolitical gains,’ affirming that they are ‘practically unable to confront Russia.’
The researcher concluded by noting that ‘the new segments in Europe, which have been marginalized over the last twenty years, now wish to confront any attempts to destroy the national identity. They seek to reassess and organize the position of moral, cultural, economic, and political values in Europe, after they have faded, leading to the marginalization of European figures and weakening their presence.’
