The Global NICMARians Alumni Meet and Construction Leadership Conclave 5.0 successfully wrapped up at Hilton Dubai, Business Bay, drawing over 200 senior professionals, innovators, and decision-makers from the construction and real estate industries.

Hosted by the Alumni Growth Network Initiative (AGNI), the official UAE chapter of NICMAR (National Institute of Construction Management and Research), the event was one of the largest alumni-driven industry gatherings in the region.

The conclave began with speeches from Balkrishan Singh, managing director and founding partner of RBS Architectural Design Consultancy, and Raghvendra Singh Bisen, vice-president (development) at Sobha UAE and Qatar Projects. They both stressed AGNI’s mission to foster a collaborative ecosystem for alumni leadership, professional development, and industry partnerships.

NICMAR University, Pune’s distinguished academic leaders, including Dr. Tapash Kumar Ganguli, director general (in-charge), and Dr. Sushma Kulkarni, vice chancellor, addressed attendees, emphasizing NICMAR’s global influence and the alumni’s role in advancing infrastructure and project management excellence worldwide.

“AGNI is not merely an initiative; it is a commitment to build a legacy of leadership and empower NICMARians both professionally and personally,” remarked Balkrishan Singh, AGNI steering committee member.

“Our unity is our greatest asset. Every NICMARian here embodies passion, potential, and the power to redefine the industry,” added Raghvendra Singh Bisen, AGNI co-founding member.

The one-day conclave included leadership sessions and panel discussions on project management, AI and digital transformation, entrepreneurship, global HR trends, women’s leadership, and coastal infrastructure development.

The “NICMARians Firechat: Chasing the Dream” session featured alumni who have reached significant milestones in international markets, providing insights into global best practices and innovation in construction management.

Senior alumni and volunteers were honored for their contributions to the NICMAR community and their mentorship of emerging professionals.

The conclave fostered new collaborations, mentoring clusters, and cross-border partnerships among NICMAR alumni, strengthening ties between academia and industry to cultivate future-ready leaders.

“This conclave represents a collective force of leaders committed to contributing, connecting, and creating value beyond boundaries,” said Balkrishan Singh.

“NICMARians are more than just professionals; we are visionaries shaping the future. Together, we are building an ecosystem of opportunity,” stated Raghvendra Singh Bisen.
