Despite Global Village’s immense popularity, there are no current plans to make it a year-round attraction. This was confirmed by a top official from Dubai Holdings Entertainment (DHE), which manages the venue.
“Global Village is primarily an outdoor destination with a demanding schedule,” said Rami Mashini, VP of Sales at DHE. “Currently, it operates for seven months annually. We require two to three months each year to enhance, construct, and develop the venue to enrich the customer experience. Therefore, the plan is to maintain the current schedule.”
He made these comments during the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, where DHE was present at Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism stand.

He mentioned that the goal for this entertainment hub, celebrating its landmark 30th season, is to exceed last season’s 10.5 million visitors. “If you consider this number of visitors and distribute it over our operational months, it ranks us among the top five attractions globally,” he added.
Riverland Transformation
Rami highlighted intense efforts to transform Riverland in Dubai Parks and Resorts into one of the region’s most sophisticated family entertainment centers, adding numerous attractions to the park.
“Riverland now includes archery and axe throwing,” he noted. “We are introducing go-karting, the immersive Perplex City experience, the escape room The Hidden Chambers, and several new dining options. Nightly laser shows are also featured, and we are supporting small businesses with bazaars in Riverland. Our goal for next year is to establish it as a premier family entertainment hub.”
He added that several exciting projects would soon be announced. Last year saw the opening of the Real Madrid World, featuring a 460-foot amusement ride and the region’s first wooden roller coaster, capturing the spirit of the Real Madrid experience.
DHE, a leader in entertainment and hospitality, operates 17 companies including Global Village, Ain Dubai, Coca Cola Arena, and Roxy Cinema.
New Luxury Offerings
Rami noted a rising demand for ultra-luxurious experiences and glamping, prompting DHE to introduce several new attractions. The recently launched T-Rex glamping project at DPR offers 65 family tents, BBQ facilities, and complimentary park access.
The company also provides a premium, butler-guided tour inside the Burj Al Arab, with an exclusive option of enjoying a gold beverage. Additionally, DHE plans to launch a new space camp experience and desert safari to expand its offerings.
