As the fourth season of ILT20 reaches its peak, the Gulf Giants took a pause after winning two out of their first three games to immerse themselves in one of the UAE’s most revered sports traditions.
The Gulf Giants team members, including Aayan Khan, Asif Khan, Haidar Razzaq, Meet Bhavsar, Ishtiaq Ahmed, and Zuhaib Zubair, visited the Arabian Desert Camel Riding Centre (ADCRC) in Lisaili – Al Marmoom, Dubai, transforming into camel jockeys for a day.
The players engaged with experienced camel jockeys, delved into the intricacies of camel racing, and enjoyed a practical camel riding session amidst the picturesque desert dunes.
ADCRC, the first licensed camel riding centre in the region, focuses on training riders in both traditional camel handling and modern techniques. This visit was a remarkable cultural and sporting exchange, highlighting the UAE’s rich heritage while giving the players an unforgettable break from the pressures of the tournament.
The day wrapped up with a heartfelt exchange of jerseys, symbolizing Dubai’s ethos of sporting unity and cultural camaraderie.
