The center explained in a statement early Saturday morning that “the gunmen fled after being wounded during the confrontation, while the clash resulted in the death of a member of the security patrol,” according to Iranian news agency “IRNA.” Iranshahr is located 337 kilometers from the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
It is noted that the police of Sistan and Baluchestan Province in southeastern Iran announced last Sunday a gunfight with internal security forces in the city of Saravan.
The statement clarified that the security forces responded to the sources of fire, resulting in the death of 3 attackers, while the others managed to escape.
