Hanan Matava, the leading star of the new film “Berta,” brings attention to significant issues, including child labor, through the story of a divorced woman and her servant. The film features actors such as Nelly Karim, Sherif Salama, and numerous talented children. The script was penned by Mohamed Diab and Sara Gohar in collaboration with director Sara Jahar.
Regarding her absence from the film industry, Hanan stated, “I haven’t avoided cinema, but after I presented the film ‘Breakable’ four years ago and received several awards, I was offered various scripts for roles that did not suit me or that I did not like.” This led her to choose not to accept those offers.
Recently, Hanan signed a contract to join the upcoming series “Crossroads,” written by Hatem Hafez and directed by Ahmed Hassan. Production on the project is already underway, and the actress is actively collaborating with the other participants to coordinate shooting dates.
Additionally, Hanan is eagerly awaiting the release of the series “Habibi Halloween,” which will debut on a popular platform. In this project, centered around a mysterious murder, she will play a unique role, marking a departure for her but also resonating with outstanding drama.
It’s worth noting that Hanan also participated as a guest of honor in the series “The Last Tour” with Ahmed El-Sakka, which achieved significant success when showcased on the international platform.
