The project aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Hatta Development Master Plan, as well as the goals of the Supreme Committee for the Development of Hatta. It creates investment opportunities for citizens and supports the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and Dubai Economic Agenda D33, aiming to rank Dubai among the top three global tourism cities while promoting inclusive economic growth and environmental sustainability.

Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
The newly available investment spaces, covering 750 sqm, include four restaurants, four retail outlets, and six food and beverage kiosks.
These venues will deliver diverse experiences, featuring Emirati, Arabic, Western, and traditional dishes, alongside local cafes, equipment rentals, and souvenir shops. The projects aim to boost tourism, uphold local culture, and encourage economic self-reliance for Hatta residents.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, stated, “For the first time, we are introducing investment and commercial opportunities in the Hatta Dam area, specifically at the Sustainable Waterfalls. This is a pivotal step in fortifying the local economy and empowering Emirati entrepreneurs.”
Dubai Municipality invites all Hatta residents to apply at www.dm.gov.ae/business. Selections will be based on specific eligibility criteria set by the evaluation committee.
The Hatta Sustainable Waterfalls, a key tourist attraction in the Hatta Dam area, features cascading water from the upper dam of the Hatta Hydroelectric Plant flowing over the world’s largest mosaic mural, depicting the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. The mural covers 2,199 sqm and is composed of over 1.2 million pieces of natural marble.
