As fans began filling the stadium after the gates opened at 3:30 pm for Sunday’s Super Four match, one young woman stood out.

In traditional Indian attire, Dubai resident Sujita Sharma beamed at the cameras, flaunting her tri-colour painted nails and coordinating bangles.

Sujita naturally drew attention as she headed to the general stands three hours before the match started.

“Whenever India plays in Dubai, I come to support Team India in traditional dresses. Today, I’m wearing the national flag colors in a Gujarat Sari,” Sujita said with a bright smile.

Sujita poses with a young fan.

“I attended all India matches during the Champions Trophy (February-March 2025) here in Dubai,” continued the Hardik Pandya enthusiast.

“Oh yes, Pandya is from Gujarat, and I’m also a huge fan of Axar Patel (left-arm spinner from Gujarat)!”

Sujita also travels globally for India’s ICC events.

“I saw all the matches in Dubai at this year’s ICC Champions Trophy, and now I have tickets for all India’s Asia Cup matches. Supporting this team is my passion,” she shared.

“Last year, I was in New York for the India-Pakistan match at the 2024 T20 World Cup. My parents always back me, knowing my love for this sport and the Indian team.”
