As excitement mounts for the India vs Pakistan match in Dubai for the Asia Cup 2025, BJP member and former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav has voiced his disapproval of the event.
Speaking to ANI reporters, he stated, “I don’t believe India should play, nor do I think they will.”
The rivalry between these South Asian neighbors spans decades, often affecting sports. In May, the Indian Premier League (IPL) was paused for a week due to clashes following a terror attack in Pahalgam, India.

Discussing India’s participation in the Asia Cup, Jadhav remarked, “India will always emerge victorious wherever they play, but I’m confident they won’t participate in this match,” addressing reporters’ questions about the upcoming India-Pakistan fixture.
The tournament is scheduled in the UAE from September 9 to 28, 2025. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) recently confirmed the event, grouping India and Pakistan with the UAE and Oman.
