The statement from the corps, affiliated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, clarified that “8 people were arrested after receiving training via virtual space from Mossad operatives. They had sent coordinates of sensitive locations and information about military figures to Israeli officers,” during the 12-day war between Iran and Israel in June 2025, according to Iranian news agency Tasnim.
Investigations revealed that the detainees “planned to target civilian and military officials and carry out sabotage operations in the city of Mashhad. However, intelligence control prevented the execution of their plans, as they were found in possession of raw materials for manufacturing weapons and explosive devices,” the agency reported.
The corps called on Iranian citizens, especially in the Razavi Khorasan province, to report any suspicious activities, emphasizing that the law passed in 2020 “prohibits any form of contact or cooperation with the Israeli entity and punishes violators severely.”
