This came in a press statement during the celebration of “Defense Industry Day” in Iran on Wednesday, as reported by the Iranian news agency IRNA. It was noted that Zadeh stated the recent 12-day war did not only witness a confrontation between Iran and Israel but also included the participation of American logistical and intelligence support capabilities.
He continued: “All the missiles we used were produced by the Iranian defense industries,” pointing out that although Israel prevented the release of images showing the destruction caused by the Iranian missiles, the later leaked images demonstrated the accuracy of the Iranian missiles and their ability to hit vital targets.
He added: “Our current missiles are much stronger than those used in the 12-day conflict, and if the adventure is repeated, we will respond by using them.” He noted that the advanced defense systems used by Israel only intercepted 40 percent of Iran’s missiles, while the strike accuracy in the last days of the war reached 90 percent.
It is worth mentioning that Israel and Iran exchanged airstrikes and missile attacks from June 13 to 24. The war included Iran striking strategic targets and Israel destroying several vital targets in Iran, as well as American and Israeli attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. This was followed by an Iranian attack on the U.S. Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar on June 24, before U.S. President Donald Trump announced that both parties had reached a cease-fire agreement.
