The spokesperson for the ministry, Ismail Baghaei, stated in a release carried by Iranian news (IRNA) that the use of the dispute settlement mechanism to reimpose canceled Security Council resolutions is an illegal measure that cannot be justified, and the position of the G7 does not change its unlawful nature. He considered that the G7’s demand for Tehran to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency, without mentioning the violations committed by Israel and the United States against Iran, represents a “deceptive and intrusive” stance.
He added that the G7’s disregard for what he described as the “joint crime” of the US and Israel against peaceful Iranian nuclear facilities highlights its double standards and interventionist tendency in Tehran’s affairs.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Ismail Baghaei, criticized the G7’s position on the Palestinian issue, considering it irresponsible and a violation of the people’s right to self-determination, affirming that “America and its allies’ support for Israeli aggression has undermined the group’s credibility in discussing human rights.”
He also rejected the accusations against Iran regarding the Ukrainian conflict, emphasizing that “Tehran adheres to a principled stance based on rejecting war and calling for a diplomatic solution,” and urged Western countries to “review their mistaken policies instead of blaming others.”
