Liverpool FC posted a new tweet on its official “X” platform account this Sunday morning to celebrate the Egyptian star, after he became the first player in the history of the English Premier League to score 10 goals in opening round matches.
The “Reds” achieved an exciting 4-2 victory over their traditional rival Bournemouth in the match held last Friday evening at Anfield as part of the first round of the new 2025-2026 season.
Egyptian national team captain Mohamed Salah managed to score Liverpool’s fourth goal in the fourth minute of injury time, securing the win for the “Reds.”
Despite the victory, Liverpool fans were moved as they chanted the name of his late teammate Diogo Jota, who died with his brother in a tragic car accident in Spain. Salah celebrated his goal with a special gesture in tribute to Jota, adding an emotional touch to the match.
It is worth mentioning that Salah is considered one of the Premier League’s most prominent stars in history and continues to set new records every season.
