Araqchi stated in comments to Iranian state television: “Our negotiations with the European Troika continue in a separate context from the negotiations with the International Atomic Energy Agency. The conditions set by the European Troika to extend the deadline for activating the ‘trigger mechanism’ are rejected and unwise.” He noted that “the new agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency establishes a new working mechanism between Tehran and the agency,” pointing out that “inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency can only access nuclear facilities with permission from Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.”
Araqchi said: “The new agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency establishes a new working mechanism between the two sides. The new agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency will not allow inspections of facilities that have been attacked.”
In the same context, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, stated last Tuesday the resumption of inspections at Iranian nuclear facilities.
