Baqaei added, “As long as we are a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, we will adhere to our commitments. Just last week, inspectors visited several nuclear facilities, including the Tehran Research Reactor,” according to the Tasnim News Agency.

The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, stated last week that Iran must “seriously improve” its level of cooperation with UN inspectors to prevent escalating tensions with Western countries.

Grossi explained, in statements to a Western newspaper, that the agency has conducted more than ten inspections in Iran since the outbreak of the war between Tehran and Israel in June.

Grossi pointed out that inspectors were not allowed to enter a number of sensitive nuclear sites, including the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan facilities, which had previously been attacked.

Robert Floyd, the Executive Secretary of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, stated that “any nuclear weapon test explosion would harm efforts to prevent nuclear proliferation and global peace and security.”

Earlier, Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed, following statements by the US President, that the current halt on nuclear tests remains in effect.
