On Friday, Israel closed the only crossing point between the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Jordan. This decision followed an incident where a driver delivering humanitarian aid from Jordan to Gaza opened fire, killing two Israeli soldiers.

The Israeli Airports Authority, responsible for the Allenby Bridge crossing, stated that the closure would remain in effect indefinitely.

Additionally, the closures affected two other Israel-Jordan crossings: the Jordan River crossing in the north was shut, while the Rabin crossing in the south stayed open exclusively for workers.
