The spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichay Adraee, stated in a press release that the existence of this site and the activities taking place there represent a violation of the agreements made between them and Lebanon. He confirmed that the army will continue to work on eliminating any threat to Israel’s security.
The ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel came into effect on November 27, 2024, more than a year after Hezbollah opened what it called a “support front for the Gaza Strip.”
Hezbollah was supposed to complete its withdrawal from the areas it occupied in southern Lebanon by January 26 of the previous year. However, Israel did not adhere to the deadline and maintained its military presence in five strategic points in southern Lebanon, justifying it as “ensuring the protection of northern settlements,” and continued to launch attacks on Lebanon from time to time.
