The injured soldiers serve in the “Kfir” Brigade, which has recently participated in ground maneuvers in the sector, and their families have been notified. This incident follows a day after an Israeli soldier was wounded by sniper fire north of Gaza, and four soldiers were killed last Thursday due to an explosive device in Rafah, south of the sector, according to Israeli “Yedioth Ahronoth.”
In the context of operations, the 98th Division of the Israeli army continued its attack on Gaza as part of the “Gideon Chariots 2” operation, encircling the city and creating pathways for evacuating civilians southward. They discovered weapons, ammunition, tunnels, and underground passages with surveillance cameras belonging to the Palestinian Hamas movement.
Additionally, Israeli army units, in cooperation with the air force and intelligence, bombed more than 120 targets, including military complexes, observation points, and Hamas elements, according to Israeli media.
Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated on the “X” platform earlier that “Gaza is burning,” adding that the Israeli army is “striking terrorist infrastructure with an iron fist, and its soldiers are bravely fighting to create conditions for the release of hostages and the defeat of Hamas. We will not relent or retreat until the mission is completed.”
The Israeli army issued warnings while the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) warned that there is no safe haven for displaced people from the city.
