A video documented the moment the tower was subjected to heavy Israeli shelling from below, which led to its collapse and the rising of thick smoke columns from the tower, which had suffered partial damage in a previous airstrike.
It was reported that residents of the area received calls urging them to evacuate the residential tower, as a preparatory step for conducting an airstrike on the site.
Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced, in parallel with the Israeli army dropping leaflets for the evacuation of the “Al-Mashat Tower.”
