Trump stated on the “Truth Social” platform that “Kazakhstan is the first country in my second term to join the Abraham Accords, and it is the first of many countries.” He added, “This is a significant step forward in building bridges across the world. Today, more countries are moving towards peace and prosperity through the Abraham Accords,” continuing, “We will soon announce an official signing ceremony, and there are many other countries seeking to join this power club.” Trump emphasized that “there is much on the way to uniting nations for stability, growth, real progress, and tangible results,” adding that “Central Asian countries will join the Abraham Accords.” Kazakhstan confirmed that it “will join the Abraham Accords with Israel.” It stated that “its expected accession to the Abraham Accords aligns with Kazakhstan’s foreign policy path based on dialogue, mutual respect, and regional stability.” American media reported yesterday, Thursday, that Kazakhstan, which has had diplomatic relations with Israel since 1992, will be the next signatory to the Abraham Accords. The Central Asian country has an embassy in Tel Aviv, making Kazakhstan’s accession to the accords a symbolic step, according to the Times of Israel. An official stated, “This will show that the Abraham Accords is a club many countries wish to join, and it will be a step towards turning the page on the Gaza war, moving forward towards more peace and cooperation in the region.” The Abraham Accords include Arab and Islamic countries that normalized their relations with Israel, mediated by U.S. President Donald Trump at the end of his first term in 2020, namely the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, Sudan, and Morocco. The U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, announced today, Thursday, that, during a speech at the American Business Forum in Miami, Florida, “I will return to Washington this evening because we will announce tonight the joining of another country to the Abraham Accords.”
