Radio ‘Voice of Korea’ stated: ‘The General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the President of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Comrade Kim Jong Un, visited the Special Operations Training Base of the General Staff of the Korean People’s Army on August 27.’ It noted that during the visit, the Korean leader was briefed on the training of sniper and special operations units. Earlier this month, the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong Un, oversaw the testing of two new types of air defense missiles as part of Pyongyang’s efforts to enhance its military capabilities. In the same context, Kim Yo Jong, the sister of the leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, stated in the middle of this month that South Korea and its president have a ‘double character,’ due to combining calls for peace with participation in military exercises with the United States of America, emphasizing that ‘achieving peace between the Koreas is impossible under these policies.’
