Peskov told reporters, “We hope these visits will continue,” referring to Kushner and Witkoff’s visits to Russia as part of the Ukrainian settlement process. Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that negotiations regarding Ukraine are currently suspended and that holding a trilateral meeting is difficult due to the United States being preoccupied with many other issues.
He continued, “The Ukrainians continue their talks with the Americans, and we are also engaging through our available channels.” He added, “No, we have no knowledge at all that this visit (Witkoff and Kushner’s planned trip to Kyiv) is being planned. We have heard statements from representatives of the Kyiv regime indicating that such a matter might be on the agenda.”
