Lebanon’s Stance on Israel and Hezbollah

In an interview with ‘Sputnik’ radio, Pro said, “Lebanon presenting its opinion on this matter is neither useful nor effective. Even foreseeing Lebanon’s vision in politics and negotiation involves many tactical and substantive errors.” He considered that “Israel tries after each stage to jump to the preceding stage. It has jumped from the new mechanism and the mechanism committee to which the American envoy Thomas Barrack added new points.

Pro pointed out that “the intention of direct or indirect negotiation is to jump directly from military security topics to the upcoming political ones. This subject is not on Lebanon’s agenda because its lands are occupied.

Pro emphasized that “Israel, by merely having its planes constantly over the city of Beirut, has nullified Agreement 1701,” asserting that “Thomas Barrack can say what he wants, and Lebanon must act in its own interest.

Regarding the situation for decades, Pro stated, “In the electoral battle, the United States seeks to isolate ‘Hezbollah,’ but the people will prove otherwise.”
