Dubai Police Launches Smart Traffic System at GITEX

In an exclusive statement to ‘Sputnik’ agency, Reem Mohammed Ahmed from the General Headquarters of Dubai Police said: ‘This smart traffic system has been launched under the direct supervision of Dubai Police. It is capable of accurately detecting, issuing, auditing, and processing traffic violations fully automatically, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and transparency in law enforcement.’

Ahmed explained that ‘the system provides real-time data on vehicle density on main roads and displays instant indicators of the number of issued violations, in addition to precisely identifying traffic congestion spots. This allows concerned authorities to make quick and effective decisions to improve traffic flow.’

She concluded by saying: ‘We have always been pioneers in adopting the latest technologies, and our participation in the GITEX Global exhibition reflects our ongoing commitment to keeping up with modern developments and providing innovative solutions that serve the community and meet future aspirations.’

The GITEX Global exhibition, the world’s largest tech event, has commenced at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Held annually in the United Arab Emirates, the exhibition serves as a leading international platform that brings together top companies specializing in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and robotics, along with supporting institutions.

The event is expected to attract over 200,000 visitors to explore the latest innovations and digital platforms offered by about 1,800 companies, reinforcing GITEX’s position as a strategic platform for investment and international cooperation.
