However, it emphasized its complete rejection of what it described as “dictation attempts” by the Greek authorities to impose on the Libyan parliament regarding the non-ratification of the memorandum of understanding signed between Libya and Turkey.
The government reiterated Libya’s adherence to its established rights according to legal frameworks and international agreements, asserting that it will take all necessary measures to protect its maritime interests and national achievements, in line with the principles of good neighborliness and respect for state sovereignty.
In the conclusion of its statement, the Libyan government called on the Greek side to cease provocative statements, adhere to international law in case of claims, and resort to official channels, primarily the committee, instead of resorting to populist media rhetoric aimed at domestic consumption.
