Al-Mismari explained in a statement to ”, that the agency is an independent body directly affiliated with the Libyan House of Representatives, headed by Advisor Aguila Saleh. He noted that the Libyan government emanating from the parliament encourages building bridges of cooperation with these countries, which opens new horizons for joint work, especially in the field of quality and medical safety standards.
He added that the agency looks forward to leveraging Russian expertise in setting measurement tools and reference guides on which health institutions are evaluated, whether in the public or private sector. He noted that Russia possesses extensive experience in safety systems within hospitals and medical factories.
Al-Mismari pointed out that the agency focuses particularly on cooperating with Russia regarding safety standards and tools within therapeutic and medical institutions, noting that Libya has already begun implementing a quality system in government hospitals, with great responsiveness from their managements.
He continued, ‘However, establishing a culture of standards and metrics in Libyan institutions still requires time and continuous efforts.’ He also explained that the agency, despite its recent establishment, is working with its full qualified technical staff and continues its efforts in a record period to raise the level of health services.
He said, ‘We look forward to benefiting from expertise in medical safety fields, pharmaceutical factories, and their measurement tools, which contributes to improving the level of therapeutic services in Libya and providing better healthcare for the Libyan citizen.’
