Lil Nas X, the Grammy-winning rapper, will remain in custody over the weekend after his arrest early Thursday in Studio City, Los Angeles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he was found nearly naked and appearing disoriented on the streets.
The police have confirmed that the 25-year-old, whose real name is Montero Hill, must wait until Monday to be released following a court appearance.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated that Hill is booked under “Charge 69 (a) PC,” which involves resisting or obstructing an officer.

The LAPD informed The Hollywood Reporter via email, “The arrestee (Hill) cannot be cited out. He must appear before a judge, which will occur on Monday.”
TMZ captured him on video wearing just underwear and cowboy boots while walking down the street.
On Friday, police told The Hollywood Reporter that officers found him incoherent and walking in the middle of the road. He was taken to a local hospital for evaluation due to a “possible overdose.”
An LAPD spokesperson said, “Upon arrival, the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and arrested for battery on a police officer.”
Lil Nas X, known for his hit “Old Town Road,” has faced several health issues this year. In April, he revealed partial facial paralysis and in May, canceled a performance at West Hollywood’s Outloud Pride Festival due to ongoing health problems.
In a statement to fans at the time, he said, “After my recent hospital visit, I must prioritize my health and focus on recovery,” as quoted by THR.
Lil Nas X is currently held at Valley Jail in Van Nuys.
