In an interview with the Russia 1 channel, Lukashenko said: “Every poison has an antidote. I believe that the President of the United States understands this more than anyone else… He realizes that this should not happen and thinks that it will not come to that. This is my belief, based on my personal knowledge of him. So, everything will be fine.”
He added: “I think we need to calm down in this regard. Our friend Donald has a specific tactic for dealing with the most pressing issues first… In some cases, he takes a more aggressive approach, then follows a tactic of relaxing a little and retreating. Therefore, we should not take this matter too seriously as if it will happen tomorrow.”
The Belarusian president said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin: “As you know, I was increasingly inclined to accuse European leaders of being unable to reach an agreement, but we have received a lot of information in recent days indicating that the problem here is not with the United States, which is striving to make progress here (in resolving the situation in Ukraine), nor with Russia, which is ready to make progress, nor with European leaders. The problem lies with Vladimir Zelensky.”
The Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, expressed his opinion that the situation in the Ukrainian conflict zone could lead to the dissolution of Ukraine as a state.
