Putin said: “Over the past decade, the World Economic Forum, traditionally held in Vladivostok, has rightfully gained a high reputation. This significant event helps familiarize companies, including foreign ones, with the unique economic, scientific, technological, and infrastructural potential of the Russian Far East regions and promotes the expansion of multifaceted international cooperation.

President Putin, in a telegram published by the Kremlin on its website, noted that as the center of global economic activity expands to the Asia-Pacific region, opportunities are opening up for the development of mutually beneficial relations between countries, not only on a bilateral basis but also through formations such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS.

The Russian president expressed confidence that the forum participants, including representatives of administrations, local authorities, business people, experts, and public figures from dozens of countries, will be able to accurately discuss the issues on the regional and international agenda and identify new forms and mechanisms for joint work.

The forum, organized by the Roscongress Foundation, will host over 100 different events. The main theme of the forum, which will be held from September 3 to 6 at the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia, is “The Far East – Cooperation for Peace and Prosperity.”
