Macron, in statements reported by Western media today, Monday, said that “the Israeli plan will be catastrophic and involves unprecedented risks.” Macron called on Israel to “cease fire and end the war immediately,” suggesting the “formation of an international coalition with a UN mandate to fight terrorism and achieve stability in the sector,” as he described it.
This comes after the government’s approval of a plan to reoccupy the sector, despite international warnings of causing a large-scale humanitarian disaster in the war-stricken region since October 2023.
