The Kremlin stated in a release that “the Supreme Ruler of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, will conduct a state visit to the Russian Federation from August 5 to August 10.” Following the Russian-Malaysian talks, Putin said: “The official visit by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, to Russia and the discussions held here clearly testify that Russian-Malaysian relations are evolving, progressing successfully, and both sides are sincerely eager to make this interaction more effective and fruitful, with all necessary prerequisites available for it.
Putin added: “We are working on establishing direct air traffic between our countries, which will certainly aid in resolving commercial and humanitarian communications.”
