This ruling obligates the man to pay a total of Dh30,000, covering both the initial criminal fine and civil damages.

The court emphasized that the criminal conviction is final and binding, affirming the man’s responsibility for the violation. Judges referenced the UAE Civil Transactions Law, which mandates compensation for acts causing harm to others, including moral and emotional distress.

The woman asserted in court that the incident tarnished her community reputation, inflicted psychological distress, and insulted her dignity.
