The Saudi club announced this and published a video on its official page on ‘X’ today, Sunday, stating it captures the behind-the-scenes of signing the contract with the new player. Under the new deal, Martinez joins Al-Nassr Saudi until 2026, becoming one of the team’s most prominent summer transfer deals this season.
Martinez played 46 matches last season under the leadership of coach Hans Flick, and he also played with former Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez. Among Martinez’s notable achievements are his former team Barcelona winning local titles last season and his contribution to the team’s qualification to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.
The Martinez deal has become the fourth deal for Al-Nassr Saudi during the current summer transfer period, following Joao Felix and the local duo Abdul Malik Al-Jaber and Nader Al-Sharari.
