Moscow – Sputnik. Earlier, the police had indicated the arrest of only nine people during demonstrations organized by right-wing groups. A statement published on the official police website stated, “As of 19:30 (21:30 Moscow time), we recorded 25 arrests on charges including rioting, public disorder, assaults, and property damage.” The police estimated the crowd size to be between 110,000 and 150,000 people. The crowds moved from Russell Square towards the government district in Whitehall, waving England flags bearing the Cross of St. George and the “Union Jack,” while chanting slogans against Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The protesters harshly criticized government policies, especially regarding immigration, accusing it of imposing restrictions on freedom of expression, and considering Starmer’s policies as threatening British national values.
