The robot is equipped with two cameras and moves on four legs. It managed to cover two kilometers and join the herd in the Kekexili Nature Reserve at an altitude of over 4,600 meters, allowing scientists to collect precise data without causing any disturbance, according to the Xinhua agency. Scientists hope this technology will improve understanding of the Tibetan Plateau and support efforts to conserve endangered species by monitoring their movement and reproduction patterns over the long term.
