The ministry clarified in its statement that “the recent events are merely a setting of the maximum visa fees according to the amendments to Law No. 175 for the year 2025, concerning the imposition of a fee for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs buildings, without issuing any executive decisions to increase the actual fees.” It emphasized that “the circulated information about the increase is just rumors,” stressing that any information regarding entry visas or other decisions is announced through official statements issued by the competent executive authorities.
It urged all media outlets and social media users to verify the accuracy and refrain from publishing unreliable information, and to refer to official sources before circulating any news related to this matter.
