On Wednesday evening, “Vijayes” confirmed that Mohamed Salah has received an offer to leave Liverpool and move to the Saudi Professional League, indicating that the Egyptian international is seriously considering this option. Although the Egyptian star’s contract extends until the summer of 2027, following its renewal last April with a weekly salary of around 400,000 pounds sterling, media reports indicate that the interest of Saudi clubs in him has not diminished so far.
The newspaper explained that expectations are growing regarding his departure from Liverpool in 2026 to take on a new challenge, with the Middle East emerging as his next destination. It hinted that “Salah is seriously considering leaving Liverpool after the current season in a move that could be shocking, especially after receiving offers from Saudi Arabia described as ‘hard to refuse.’
Liverpool had announced the extension of Mohamed Salah’s contract for an additional two seasons earlier last April, just two months before his old contract was set to expire in June 2025. It is noted that Mohamed Salah led the team to clinch the Premier League title this season, contributing to 47 goals. Meanwhile, Salah finished his season with Liverpool in the Premier League by receiving the “Golden Boot” award after scoring 29 goals and also earned the award for the best playmaker, having provided 18 assists.
