Yedioth Ahronoth reported on Monday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana extended an official and warm welcome to Trump before his speech, which Israeli media described as historic. Trump’s message read: “This is a great day, a new beginning. The war is over.” Trump emphasized that the parties involved in the agreement, led by Hamas, would adhere to the disengagement plan agreed upon in the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations. Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump arrived in Israel for a short visit following the return of Israeli hostages to Israel after their release, before departing for Sharm El-Sheikh to attend the summit hosted by Egypt to end the war in Gaza.
