The Israeli Prime Minister stated earlier today that “Israel is nearing the end of its war in Gaza,” affirming the continuation of operations to defeat what he described as the “remnants of the Iranian axis” and to free all captives, according to him.
Netanyahu’s remarks came during the opening of the new Knesset Museum in Jerusalem, at the site where the Israeli parliament was hosted between 1950 and 1966.
Netanyahu emphasized that “the victories Israel is achieving prove the strength of its presence and independence in its eternal capital, Jerusalem,” as reported by the Times of Israel.
The Israeli Prime Minister announced on Sunday that he is “determined to end the war quickly,” indicating that he has ordered the military to reduce the timeline for taking control of Gaza City.
Netanyahu instructed the military to “seize the last strongholds of Hamas, primarily in the city, and shorten the timeline for controlling Gaza City,” noting that he intends to “eradicate Hamas rather than perpetuate it.”
He asserted that “Israel will impose security control over the Gaza Strip and establish an alternative civil governance that excludes both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority,” adding that his country “will surprise Hamas in various ways and has the capability to eliminate it.”
