Nicole Kidman, acclaimed actor and film producer, has been cast in Osgood Perkins’ new feature film, The Young People, as reported by Variety.
She will join a talented ensemble including Lola Tung (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Nico Parker (How to Train Your Dragon), alongside Brendan Hines (The Tick), Cush Jumbo (The Good Wife), Heather Graham (Drugstore Cowboy), Johnny Knoxville (Jackass), and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black).
The film is being produced by Perkins under Phobos and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Range. Details of the plot remain confidential.
The Young People is the initial project from a first-look deal that Neon secured with Perkins and Phobos earlier this year. This follows their previous success with Longlegs, 2024’s top-grossing independent film, earning $75 million domestically, as cited by the outlet.
Kidman, known for projects like Scarpetta on Prime Video and Margo’s Got Money Trouble on Apple TV+, is well-versed in genre films, notably for her role in the 2001 horror classic The Others.
In The Others, she portrayed a mother facing supernatural challenges in an old English manor with her children, a film celebrated as one of the finest horror movies, grossing over $210 million worldwide and earning her BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations.
