Non-Aligned Movement Supports Palestinian Rights

Tasnim International News Agency reported on Wednesday evening that Araghchi’s statements were made during his visit to Uganda to participate in the 19th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Non-Aligned Movement. Araghchi affirmed the Non-Aligned Movement’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and liberation from occupation and colonial control.

He pointed out the “genocide and war crimes committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people” and described the ongoing suffering of the Palestinian people as “a stain on the forehead of humanity.” He emphasized that “the resistance of the Palestinian people reflects the same fundamental principles of the Non-Aligned Movement, which are the rejection of foreign domination, occupation, and colonialism.”

On Monday, Egypt hosted a peace summit in Sharm El Sheikh, chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and his American counterpart Donald Trump, with the participation of delegation leaders from about 20 countries. Over two years of continuous Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the region has been devastated from the far south to the north.

The medical sector, schools, universities, places of worship, infrastructure, and vital resources that support life in the area were destroyed. Fifteen critical sectors in Gaza were devastated, and the attacks resulted in large numbers of casualties and injuries among Palestinian civilians.
